Service provision statement
From 1 April 2024, the hackney carriage and private hire licensing service will no longer issue temporary licences for renewal applications.
A renewal application should be submitted:
- up to 10 weeks before a licence expires
- no later than 3 weeks before a licence expires
Applications submitted late will be processed as soon as possible, but it might not be possible to complete a renewal before the current licence expires.
Licensing service updates will continue to be posted on the Taxi and private hire bulletin including service updates.
