Enforcement policy for regulation and enforcement services
The Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006 requires us to publish an Enforcement Policy which we review annually.
The policy commits us to good enforcement practice and describes when and how our officers take legal action.
The current Enforcement Policy was approved by the Licensing and Public Protection Committee at its meeting in June 2023.
Birmingham City Council is required to publish a Statement of Principles which it proposes to follow in determining the amount of a penalty charge.
The policy can be made available on tape, in braille, or in large type if required.
