Construction update
- North of GMAC and HP Centre: The warm-up track and the in-field are now complete, and both will be maintained until Summer 2022. Installation of trees and benches in this area is ongoing.
- Northern Plaza: Works to the northern plaza will be complete in December 2021. The surface is tarmacked, and the landscaping works are complete. The floodlights are due to be installed in January 2022.
- New West Stand and main track: Works on the externals of the new West Stand will be completed in December 2021. The installation of the roof, glazing and external cladding is complete. The installation of the seating is due to be completed in December 2021. The West Stand internal works have also progressed well, the doors are being fitted, and the plumbing, electric, painting, and decorating works are ongoing. The main track is expected to be completed in February 2022.
- Around the existing East Stand: Works to reconstruct the existing car park in front of the East Stand are now complete. However, the East Stand car park remains part of the construction site and therefore usage is restricted to contractors and East Stand tenants only until further notice.
- South Terrace: Works to construct a new car park for the West Stand are expected to be completed in December 2021.
- Perry Park: Construction of the southern section of the Athletes’ Route (which will pass through Perry Park) is expected to be complete in December 2021.
