Telephone scams
- Do not feel pressured into making a decision over the telephone. It’s okay to say “no”.
- Never give out personal or bank details out over the telephone.
- Contact is often unexpected and out of the blue; scammers are persistent but friendly.
- Hang up if a caller is vague about their company information.
- Do not pay in advance for goods in response to unexpected telephone call.
- If you receive a lot of telephone calls, consider a call blocker to filter out unwanted calls.
