Elections and voting
Following the recent death of Councillor Waseem Zaffar, there is now a vacancy in the Lozells ward.
There is also a vacancy in Allens Cross ward, following the resignation of Councillor Jack Deakin in December.
As it is now less than 6 months before the local elections, there will be no by-election to fill these vacancies. They will be filled at the local elections on Thursday 7 May 2026.
