Information for staff assisting at elections

The next scheduled election will be held on Thursday 7 May 2026.

If you are working on polling day and have not already made arrangements to vote, you can apply for an absent vote.

A proxy vote is where someone attends your usual polling station and votes on your behalf.

If you are appointed to work after this date, get in touch with the Elections Office, and we will see what arrangements we can make for you to vote in the local elections.
