Orders and delivery
Individuals
Bookstart Birmingham is unable to post individual packs or dual language picture books to home addresses. This includes home address of childminders and home educators. Individual packs will be sent to your preferred Birmingham Library for collection.
We also send Baby Packs to children’s centres. You are welcome to collect your pack from your local centre.
Nurseries, childminders and home educators
Additional Needs Packs and Dual Language Picture Books are delivered to the nursery or will be sent to your nearest Birmingham Library for you to collect, depending on the size of your order.
To order, your children will need to be aged 3 to 4 years old in the current academic/school year e.g. 2022 to 2023. Ordering follows the processes below:
- Ordering opens: 3 October 2022 to 31 January 2023: Place your orders online when you receive notification from us at Bookstart Birmingham, the Early Years Management Information System and the partners we work with.
- Ordering forms: There is a form for nurseries, and a form for childminders/home educators – make sure that you use the correct form.
- Collection/delivery: Depending on your order: packs are delivered after February half-term and before Easter; collection will start in October.
- Late orders: are delivered in June.
- We do not deliver in July. The school year is finishing up and we cannot guarantee delivery in time to also accommodate gifting to the children.
The Early Years programme
Orders are by invitation only from the Early Years Team. Delivery is from March.
