Police and Crime Commissioner Elections
Nationwide elections were held to elect Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC) in each of the 41 Police Authority Areas. In Birmingham, we voted for a PCC for the West Midlands Police Area along with electors from Sandwell, Dudley, Coventry, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
The last PCC election was held in the West Midlands in 2024.
There is currently a discussion taking place in government about:
- if the role will continue in the future
- or if the powers will be transferred
