Contact from enforcement agency or bailiff company
If an enforcement agency (bailiff company) contacts you, it is too late to dispute the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
What you can do
At this stage, you have 2 options:
- arrange payment with the enforcement agency
- apply to make an out-of-time witness statement
If you want to make a payment arrangement, contact the enforcement agency as soon as possible.
Enforcement agency fees
Enforcement agencies charge fees under the Taking Control of Goods Act 2013.
The fees you will be charged depend on the stage of the process and the amount you owe. This is shown in the table.
| Fee stage | Fixed Fee | Additional fee (if amount owed is over £1,500) |
|---|---|---|
| Complaint stage: starts immediately when the enforcement agency receives each case | £75 | None |
| Enforcement stage | £235 | 7.5% of the amount over £1,500 |
| Sale or disposal stage | £110 | 7.5% of the amount over £1,500 |
