Pay your Council Tax online

There are several ways to pay your council tax. You can:

Pay online using your BRUM account

Follow these steps to access your Council Tax online account via your BRUM account.

  1. register or sign in to your BRUM Account
  2. select Council Tax online from the Council Tax section
    1. If you have already registered, you will see your Council Tax account details
    2. If not, please follow the registration instructions for the Council Tax online account
  3. make a payment by selecting the make a payment link under the Popular Services options

Your details will automatically pull through to the payment form.

What else can you do with your Council Tax online account?

Using the Popular services options, you can:

  • make a payment
  • view your bills and recovery notices
  • view your account activity
  • apply for paperless billing

If you prefer not to create a BRUM account

If you prefer not to create a BRUM account, you can make a payment online with a credit or debit card.

Please note we do not accept American Express credit cards.

Pay your Council Tax online by debit or credit card

When will your payment reach your account?

Please allow up to 4 working days for payments to reach your account.

You are responsible for paying your Council Tax on time.

Pay Council Tax by Direct Debit

The easiest and safest way to pay council tax is by Direct Debit. Please complete and submit the online Direct Debit form and we will do the rest.
