Foundation for Integration Project
Funded by the EU Asylum Migration and Integration Fund the project provided specialist advice to primarily Third Country Nationals in Birmingham, preventing crisis and destitution and facilitating integration.
The Foundation for Integration was a partnership made up of the BCC Refugee and Migration Team:
- ASIRT (Asylum Support and Immigration Resource Team)
- RMC (Refugee and Migrant Centre, Black County and Birmingham)
- CELC (Central England Law Centre, Birmingham and NAIS (Neighbourhood Advice and Information Service)
The project's legacy has been the development of a website, the Migrant Advice Portal, that supports people seeking asylum and migrants in the West Midlands.
It also supports migration research, policy and strategy in the region.
