Resettlement
Since 2015, we have been involved with government-funded resettlement schemes.
During this time, over 1,100 people have benefited from resettlement support in Birmingham.
The Syrian Vulnerable Resettlement Scheme, SVPRS, came to a close in 2021, and over 500 people have successfully built new lives in Birmingham through the programme.
Ongoing support is provided through the government's UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), Afghan Citizen Resettlement Scheme (ACRS), and Afghan Resettlement Programme (ARP).
Birmingham is proud to be among the top 10 local councils in the UK supporting the highest number of resettled refugees.
Funding is received through the Integration Tariff.
We do not currently fund projects to support BNO (Hong Kongers). For more information, visit the West Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership's BNO Welcome Hub.
