Get married or register a civil partnership at an approved Birmingham venue

You can get married or register your civil partnership at an approved premise (venue). If you do, there must not be any religious wording or content in your ceremony.

There will be a fee for the ceremony (shown below) and additional fees (not shown below) for the venue you choose.

Cost of ceremony, plus one marriage or civil partnership certificate

  • Monday to Friday: £420
  • Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays: £530

Once you’ve chosen the venue

You should contact them directly to agree the day and time for your ceremony. Their ceremony representative will then issue you with an Approval Holders Letter (Blue form BM3). Once you have it, you will need to send the following items to the Birmingham Register Office:

  • Approval Holders Letter
  • A completed Approved Premises Advanced Booking Form
  • A non-refundable booking fee: £75 if your ceremony is within 12 months of your booking date, and £150 if it is between 1 and 3 years from the time of your booking date.
