Data we may collect

The information collected may include the following:

  • Names
  • Address’
  • Email address’
  • Phone numbers
  • Dates of Birth
  • National Insurance Numbers
  • Bank/Financial Details
  • Employment Data

We may also receive information about you from the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman, other council departments or enforcement agencies.

It can include, letters, emails, photographs, video footage and call recordings.

Retention

After we deliver a service to you, we must keep your information as a business record of what was delivered. The type of service will determine how long we must keep it.

The retention periods for this service are as follows:

  • The records held regarding your Council Tax liability will be kept for 6 years after the end of the applicable financial year.
  • The records held regarding your Business Rates liability will be kept for 6 years after the end of the applicable financial year.
  • The records held regarding your Business Improvement District Levy liability will be kept for 6 years after the end of the applicable financial year.
  • Telephone records held regarding your: Council Tax, Business Rates or Business Improvement District Levy liability will be kept for 1 year after the date of the telephone recording.

Security

Your information will be stored electronically on multiple servers based in the UK and on paper records. These can only be accessed by authorised officers. It will not be transferred outside the UK.
