How we monitor our performance
We monitor our performance in key areas closely to make sure that our service is delivering on time and effectively.
We have a responsibility for the maintenance and repair of most roads in Birmingham, including pavements, but we are not responsible for:
- private roads - these are the responsibility of the landowner or resident
- motorways that cross Birmingham - these are the responsibility of Highways England.
If you report a problem to us, we will investigate it within 5 to 10 working days.
We have different responses based on the issue reported and the risk to public safety. Any assessed reports which highlight a risk to public safety will be prioritised.
You must submit each request on a separate form to ensure they are risk assessed properly.
