Peaky Blinders

The Peaky Blinders were a criminal gang active in Birmingham in the 1890s.

They were known for violence and fights using metal-tipped boots, stones, belt buckles and sometimes knives.

Most of their activity was around Small Heath, but their reputation was often exaggerated. Stories about them continue today in the BBC drama series Peaky Blinders.
