I need accommodation now

If you have nowhere to stay tonight, we might be able to help you get temporary accommodation. It is important to understand what temporary accommodation is and what it might be like.

Before you call, make sure you have tried all options such as staying with friends or family, or paying for temporary accommodation yourself.

We may be able to help if you are:

  • aged 25 or over
  • aged 18 to 24 and have children aged 17 and under who are dependent on you

When you phone us, we will ask you questions about yourself and your situation. We will also ask for documents and forms of identification.

Other ways to get help with emergency accommodation

If you are aged 24 or under and have no children, you will need to contact St Basils Youth Hub instead. Phone them on 0300 303 0099.

Domestic abuse support

Our Domestic Abuse Homelessness Hub, run in partnership with Cranstoun, can help people escaping domestic abuse find a safe place to stay.

If you have somewhere you can stay tonight but are at risk of being homeless in the next 56 days (8 weeks), you can apply for help using our online form.
