Apply for help if you are at risk of homelessness
If you are at risk of becoming homeless in the next 56 days (8 weeks) you may be eligible for support to find an alternative home.
Completing this form does not guarantee you will be offered accommodation. We will need to assess your circumstances to see what help can be offered.
If you have already lost your home and have nowhere to stay tonight contact us for emergency help.
Who can apply
You can apply to us for a housing needs assessment if you:
- are aged 25 or over, or are under 25 but have children under 18 living with you
- are at risk of losing your home and becoming homeless in the next 56 days (8 weeks)
- have a National Insurance number
Find out more about what to do if you are under 25 with no children, or if you do not have a National Insurance number.
What you will need to apply
We will need some details from you to start your application online. We will then phone you to find out more about you and your circumstances so we can carry out an assessment. We will usually contact you the same working day we receive your form.
To start the process online you will need to tell us:
- where you’ve been living
- why you’re approaching us for help
- who is in your household and also at risk of becoming homeless
- a phone number we can contact you on
- your National Insurance number
