I need accommodation now

If you have nowhere to stay tonight we may be able to help find temporary accommodation. It is important to understand what temporary accommodation is and what it might be like.

Before you call make sure you have tried all options such as staying with friends or family, or self-funding temporary accommodation.

We may be able to help if you are:

  • aged 25 or over
  • aged 18 to 25 and have children under 18 dependent on you

Other ways to get help with emergency accommodation

If you are under the age of 25 and have no children, you will need to contact St Basils Youth Hub instead. You can phone them on 0300 303 0099.

The council's Domestic Abuse Homelessness Hub, in partnership with Cranstoun, can help people escaping domestic abuse find a safe place to stay. If you need their help, you can phone them on 0121 464 7297, or email BHMHousingSolutions@cranstoun.org.uk.

At risk of homelessness but have somewhere to stay tonight

If you have somewhere you can stay tonight but are at risk of being homeless in the next 56 days (8 weeks) you can apply for help using our online form.
