You can get an idea of rents in your area from the register of determined rents at the Valuation Office Agency.

Bills

Some landlords include gas, electric or water services in the rent they charge. If these services are included, your landlord should give you an itemised statement showing exactly how much you are paying for any services.

You will have to pay for services such as gas and electricity yourself if they are not included in the rent.
