Temporary move to fortnightly waste collections

How it works

All of our Pay and Display machines in Birmingham have 5 digit location numbers (starting with a 3) displayed on them.

The correct charge (including convenience fee) will be deducted from your registered credit or debit card. Remember to opt out in your settings if you do not want to pay for the additional SMS text reminders.

Don’t leave your vehicle until you have received confirmation that your payment has been accepted. Using your phone to pay for parking carries a small convenience charge per transaction.

Smartphone app

iPhone and Android phone users can download a RingGo smartphone application (free of charge), through their handset or from the relevant store. The app lets you register for the service, locates your nearest RingGo zone, allows you to manage your account and pay to park directly through the app.

Text message

You can use the quick and easy RingGo “text to park” option instead. For details on how to set up the service for your particular location and the required format of the text message, visit the myRingGo website.

Automated phone service

Call 0121 367 0000 from the mobile phone you are registered with:

  • select the vehicle you’re using
  • key in the location number when prompted
  • the number of minutes you want to pay for
  • provide the security code from your registered card

Internet options

If you have a phone with mobile internet access, you can use the myRingGo site to pay for your parking. Login at www.myRingGo.co.uk/park and complete the details. You can use the same link from a standard pc or other internet connected device.
