Core Strategy

Our Core Strategy aims to provide a 20 year framework for sustainable growth in Birmingham, with proposals to provide 50,600 new homes and deliver 100,000 new jobs by 2026.

Consultation on the draft Strategy closed in March 2011 and we are now analysing the responses we received. A revised Strategy will then be produced. View the document and comments received using the following link and tabs at the bottom of that page.

The Strategy is supported by a number of associated documents and builds on the results of previous consultations which took place in the autumn of 2008.
