Development Management in Birmingham Consultation
The Development Management in Birmingham document (DMB) will provide detailed policies to help determine planning applications and development decisions across the City.
The DMB will provide detailed non-strategic policies to support the delivery of the adopted Birmingham Development Plan and will replace the remaining Saved 2005 Birmingham Unitary Development Plan policies once it is adopted.
Following public consultation earlier this year, the Council has now formulated a ‘Publication’ version of the document. This is the beginning of the final stage in progressing the Development Management in Birmingham (DMB) document towards adoption.
From 9 January 2020, the City Council is inviting comments on the DMB Publication document as part of a formal public consultation. At this stage all responses will be submitted, alongside the document itself, directly to the Planning inspectorate who will carry out a public Examination into the document to ensure it is sound and legal.
It would therefore be helpful at this stage to make any comments and views using the Representation Forms provided below. You will need to fill in Part A once and Part B for every separate representation you wish to make. Guidance notes are also attached below to help you fill out the forms.
The consultation will close at 5:00pm on Friday 21st February 2020.
You can either complete the forms online or download and submit them via:
