Central Library changes

Important update on Central Library changes:

From 12 December Birmingham Central Library will be open from 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on Saturday.

- is under construction on land adjoining The REP, with the library and theatre joining together and sharing a number of facilities to create a unique centre for knowledge, learning and culture

Designated collections

Birmingham Central Library is one of the largest and most important public libraries in Europe.

Collections in this library have been designated as outstanding collections by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.

There are eight floors available for public use and material is divided into areas broadly along subject lines.
