Accessibility
The Library of Birmingham is designed to be highly accessible to all.
Getting around the building is easy, with:
- a step-free entrance
- lifts to all floors
- ramps
- escalators
- travelators
- stairs
Security
The Library of Birmingham operates security measures for the safety and security of library customers, including CCTV.
As part of the security measures, customers may be asked to remove their face covering by a member of our security staff before being permitted access. This is to allow identification by our CCTV systems. Once identification is complete you may return your face covering.
If you do not comply with this policy, entry to the library will be refused.
