Holding an exhibition at the Library of Birmingham
The Library of Birmingham works with a range of partners to deliver exhibitions, displays and installations at the city’s iconic library in Centenary Square.
We have hosted exhibitions for individual artists, local community groups, regional, national, and international organisations for a number of years.
Exhibitions at the Library of Birmingham are usually educational in flavour. They are often inspired by Birmingham’s unique archival collections and provide visitors with a fresh perspective on diverse subjects, ranging from Shakespeare to the culture of Birmingham’s Wholesale Markets, from the Industrial Revolution to the history of allotments in Birmingham.
The Library of Birmingham includes several different types of exhibition space. Each is suited to different exhibition sizes, formats, and audiences.
- Gallery on floor three
- Spotlight in the foyer
- Shakespeare Memorial Room on floor nine
- Discover art throughout the library
- Digital gallery on the lower ground floor
