Paying fines and charges

Overdue items must be returned or renewed before fines can be paid. If you have a query about a charge on your account, please contact your local library.

Payment by phone

You can pay fines and charges on your account by credit or debit card between 11am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, on 0121 242 4242.

Payment in person

You can pay fines and charges on your account by credit or debit card or cash at the customer service desk at the Library of Birmingham, or by cash using the self-service kiosk or at the customer service desk at your local library. When paying by cash please try to ensure you have the correct change.
