Young Talent for Business
Youth Unemployment is a problem in Birmingham. The Young Talent for Business programme helps tackle this by offering enhanced financial incentives to employers who open up apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship opportunities to young people.
Employers may have access to the following:
- £1,500 for recruiting in to an apprenticeship vacancy
- £2,275 for recruiting in to a non-apprenticeship vacancy
- Help to find suitable candidates from a pool of bright and talented young people
See how the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership is supporting apprenticeship schemes and the Employer Incentives that are available.
Please note: Birmingham Jobs Fund will only allow 4 weeks to receive the Starter Paperwork from agreed providers/employers from the start of employment (for non-apprentices) or start of apprenticeship training framework (for apprentices). Backdating of starts from the beginning of the programme is no longer allowed. Where paperwork is not received within 4 weeks any expenditure incurred by the provider/employer cannot be counted as eligible spend and payment cannot be made. We cannot accept liability for costs incurred as a result of no reimbursement due to late submission of required paperwork.
