Help if you have a disabled child

Find out about benefits, help and other support if your child has Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on our Local Offer website.

You can also visit GOV.UK to check eligibility for benefits and direct payments.

This may include Disability Living Allowance (DLA). It can help with the costs of looking after a child who:

• is under 16 years old
• has difficulties walking
• needs much more looking after than a child of the same age who does not have a disability

They will need to meet all the eligibility requirements.
