Tenant inspectors

We provide training for tenants to become tenant inspectors who work with our Contract Works Officers to inspect the standard of our pre and post void properties.

They help us to identify problems or where things could be improved by:

  • carrying out an assessment of the property at the before works and after works stage
  • rating the standard of work carried out by the repairs contractor

Once inspections are complete, our Contract Works Officers report the findings back to our contractors to schedule any repairs.

Inspections cover:

  • the external appearance of dwellings
  • kitchens
  • bathrooms
  • gas, electricity, heating and hot water
  • doors, floors and stairs
  • cleanliness
  • window frames
  • non-standard fittings
