  • or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

If you suspect someone is a potential survivor, you may wish to support them to call

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

You can also submit a report online to the Modern Slavery Helpline. You can read guidance on how to report modern slavery on GOV.UK's website.

However, bear in mind that adults still have agency over their own decisions, despite being a survivor of modern slavery. Reporting an adult to the police without their consent may carry risks for them, particularly if they are fearful of authorities.

It may be more helpful to signpost someone to a specialist third sector organisation who can discuss their rights, entitlements and options in a confidential setting. For example, Hope for Justice, or SIFA Fireside.
