The Elections Office appoints casual staff at different times of the year to help with the running of elections and the annual canvass.

The next scheduled elections are on Thursday 7 May 2026.

The Elections Office is looking for people to work at:

• polling stations at locations around the city – on Thursday 7 May, 6:30am until 10:15pm
• The Utilita Arena in the City Centre at the counting of the votes – on Friday 8 May. Hours for counting of the votes are still to be confirmed, but you should be available from 8:00am.
