We have also been recently doing work on the EB GI Biophilic Masterplan which is born from the City Of Nature Plan and Naturally Birmingham project, funded by Birmingham’s Future Parks Accelerator Fund, which puts nature at the heart of the city’s decision making.

The project introduces environmental justice, a new measurement tool for assessing existing equity conditions and is at the heart of a fair city.

The environment justice assessment assesses access to green space, flood risk, urban heat island, health inequalities and indices of multiple deprivation for each ward within the city.

East Birmingham has been mapped for gaps in green infrastructure; and has undergone extensive analysis to identify transformative green infrastructure opportunities in the highest priority wards.
