Access to sports pitches in parks
Some sports pitches are hired out to leagues for regular matches and are not available for public use. Find out more about hiring a pitch.
We lock and unlock gates to these pitches and changing rooms to control access. If your team arrives and gates are locked, this could be because:
- the match has been cancelled by the referee
- the pitch may not be playable due to snow or excessive rain
- we may not have received the fixture list
- we may have been delayed or prevented from attending
