Pool Farm Regeneration

We know it’s important to keep the community involved in the redevelopment of the Pool Farm estate.

While it has been some time since our last update, we are now committed to sharing regular news and working together to explore ways to improve the estate.

What happened so far

The regeneration of Pool Farm has been part of local planning and housing policy for some time, with extensive consultation with the community. The redevelopment of the Pool Farm Estate and Shannon Road is the final step in revitalising the wider area, known as the Three Estates.

The regeneration of the Three Estates, Hawkesley, Primrose and Pool Farm, has progressed separately, seeing:

  • 292 homes developed on the Primrose Estate
  • 44 homes at Stockmans Close Hawkesley
  • 92 homes across Brooklea Groves and Owens Croft areas of Pool Farm

However, progress across the wider Pool Farm and Shannon Road areas, which have been subject to demolition, has slowed down in recent years.

What happens next

We are keen to accelerate the delivery of much-needed homes across the Pool Farm estate, as part of a broader vision to revitalise the area and improve local infrastructure.

We are now exploring partnerships with developers to help move this forward.

In the coming weeks, technical and land surveying work will begin across the estate. You may therefore notice people looking at empty or cleared areas. These initial steps contribute to assessing potential opportunities for redevelopment and mark the beginning of our efforts to mobilise regeneration.

We want to keep you informed

Now that plans are moving forward, we want to keep you actively informed about what will be happening on your estate.
