Change into action
Change into Action is a scheme across Birmingham that is jointly supported by Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and the Mayor Andy Street.
Alongside local charities and support services, they are piloting a new way people can help rough sleepers.
The aim is to shift the way we financially support rough sleepers. Instead of giving to rough sleepers as and when you meet them, the money sits in a protected scheme. Specialist charities and the street teams already working with them can make referrals for allocations of money with the intention of changing the person who is sleeping rough’s circumstances.
