Street Intervention Team
Birmingham’s Street Intervention Team offers a unique multi agency approach to addressing the issue of rough sleeping and begging, which is a national issue. Its approach is based on three key strands – Engage, Educate and Enforce.
Our team involves:
- Staff from Trident Reach, Change Grow Live, Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust, West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council working together from the same base.
- Information sharing on a daily basis to provide the best responses for individuals
- Better connections and communication between on-street partners and services.
- Bespoke and tailored interventions according to individuals’ requirements.
