Lighting up the library for the Who is Hussain foundation

LoB lit up RedOn Saturday 29 July the exterior facade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up red on behalf of the 'Who is Hussain Foundation'.

Who is Hussain is a social justice movement with teams in 90 cities across the globe.

Their teams of volunteers host local events to make a positive change in society, through giving back to those most in need.

They empower communities around the world to organise charitable events for the common good. They aim to inspire individuals through the timeless example of Hussain, and the values he stood for; those of compassion, justice and dignity. The reps and volunteers organise events to give back to their local communities, ranging from blood donation drives to feeding the homeless and much more.

Hussain was a 7th century revolutionary leader who made the ultimate stand for moral justice. His legacy inspires millions to strive for a just society. Hussain gave everything he had for the dignity of his society in the face of corruption – forever changing the course of history. Today, his selfless stand gives hope to people of all backgrounds.
