Admission to school is governed by policy determined by national government. Information about this is available from the Education and Learning section of the DirectGov web site.
Local authorities are required to co-ordinate the admission arrangements for all maintained schools in their area. You can view the 2012 co-ordinated admission arrangements and the 2011 co-ordinated admission arrangements for all Birmingham primary and secondary schools from this web site.
