Where to leave your bins for collection

Put your bins out at the front of your home for collection, unless we have told you a different collection point.

After your bin has been emptied, return it to your property. Bins should not be left on the street.

If no one in your household can move your bin, you can apply for assisted collection.

When to put your bins out for collection

  • Put your bin out before 6:00am on the day it is collected.
  • Bring your bin back to your property by midday (12:00pm) the day after it is collected.
  • Do not put your bin out before 3:30pm the day before collection.

Check your collection day

If your bin is not put out correctly

If your bin is not in the right place or not out at the right time, we may not collect it.

If bins are left on the street or not placed correctly for collection, we may need to take action. If we send you a Notice of Intent and the problem is not fixed, you may get a £60 fine, and we may also remove your bin.

If your bin is missing or damaged

If your bin is lost, stolen or damaged you can request a replacement.

As we make changes to waste services you may be asked to log in to your BRUM Account. Creating an account is free.
