The Every Step Matters project | Getting active | Birmingham City Council

The Every Step Matters project

The Every Step Matters project aims to encourage people to make time for 15 minutes of physical activity every day. This includes walking, jogging, wheeling or running.

Just 15 minutes every day will help you experience the benefits of regular exercise.

As part of the project, Legacy West Midlands installed one-mile tracks at 8 parks in the city in 2023. The locations of the tracks focus on wards with low levels of physical activity.

The tracks were co-produced with residents, community organisations and system partners.
