Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, including men. Often men don’t come forward because they feel ashamed to admit they are being abused, whether this is by a woman or another man.
The abuse can still take the same form, whether it is physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, financial, and coercive control. All of these have a devasting effect on a man’s physical and mental wellbeing.
As someone who may be experiencing domestic abuse it is not your fault. You are not weak, and you are not alone. You can get help through the domestic abuse helplines.
