Thank you for your interest in the Safer School Journeys programme.

The expression of interest period closed on Friday 28 November 2025.

We began working with selected schools in January 2026 to co-develop and deliver improvements. Schools were selected based on:

• suitability
• local context
• potential impact

Support available for all schools

Even if your school was not selected, you can still benefit from support through the Modeshift STARS programme.

Modeshift STARS is a national scheme that helps schools promote safer, greener and healthier travel.

Schools can access resources and support while working towards accreditation.
