Next steps and how to get involved

Further to the adoption of the ‘Perry Barr 2040: a vision for legacy’ masterplan in February 2022, we’ve continued to work with partners and stakeholders to develop a programme-wide business case and delivery plan. This aims to build on what’s been achieved so far as part of Perry Barr’s £700m+ regeneration, including the successful staging of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

To help us develop the PB2040 programme and inform the next phase of development, five strategic feasibility studies have been commissioned with Homes England support. These include two strategies – one for the repurposing of the Perry Barr Bus Garage, the other to determine our strategic approach for long-term land use across the Perry Barr area. Stakeholder engagement feedback and detailed information gathered will inform our future development strategy.

Once our proposed delivery approach and programme have been developed, we will consult with key stakeholders and the local community.

Ongoing engagement

We are aiming to set up Community and Youth Panels to ensure that engagement is meaningful and enable the community to influence the detailed projects being delivered in Perry Barr.

More information about the panels will follow.

If you are an active resident interested in the future of Perry Barr and wish to register your interest in being a member of the PB2040 Community Panel, email us.
