Pay rent online
You can pay your rent weekly, fortnightly or monthly using a credit or debit card.
Allow upto 4 working days for any payments to be processed.
The minimum amount you can pay is £4.65 a week if:
- your account is in arrears
- if you receive Housing Benefit
- if you receive Universal Credit
To make a rent payment or other housing payment, you, or the person paying it for you, will need to provide the:
- name and address of the council tenant
- payment reference number
Payment reference number
You can find the payment reference number on a bill, invoice or statement.
Housing or rent account numbers
- 12 digit numbers starting with 1, 2, 30, 41, 51 or 61.
General council reference numbers (such as for sundry debts)
- 9 digit numbers starting with 91
- 10 digit numbers starting with 31, 51 or 90
