Bradford Street cycle route
Project Overview
In 2020, we installed a temporary ‘pop-up’ cycle lane on Bradford Street. This cycle lane included ‘light segregation’ from other traffic using plastic bollards. In November 2021, we consulted with you on making the cycle route permanent, and the feedback we received was used to revise the scheme. View the 2021 consultation on Birmingham Be Heard.
We are now proposing to improve and make permanent the route on Bradford Street.
The key proposals are:
- A one-way segregated cycle lane on each side of Bradford Street
- Pavement widening at bus stops, to allow the cycle route to continue behind
- New signalised crossings for people walking, wheeling and cycling
You can view the full list of proposals, plans of the scheme, and respond to an online survey on Birmingham Be Heard.
Consultation closes on Sunday 28 September.
