Bradford Street cycle route

Project overview

In 2020, we installed a temporary ‘pop-up’ cycle lane on Bradford Street. This cycle lane included ‘light segregation’ from other traffic using plastic bollards. In November 2021, we consulted with you about making the cycle route permanent, and we used your feedback to revise the scheme.

We are now proposing to improve and make the route on Bradford Street permanent.

The key proposals are:

  • A one-way segregated cycle lane on each side of Bradford Street
  • Pavement widening at bus stops, to allow the cycle route to continue behind
  • New signalised crossings for people walking, wheeling and cycling
