Free activities

The aim is for children and their families to make use of the green spaces around their homes, love outdoor active play.

BCPN support the Play England manifesto. The manifesto has 3 simple pledges for all children and young people to have the freedom and space to play enjoyed by previous generations.

  • To make all residential area child friendly places where children can play outside
  • To give all children the time and access to activities to play throughout their childhood
  • To give all children somewhere to play – in freedom and safety after school and in the holidays

Play in Parks Playdays

Play in Parks and playday events are held in parks located within particular areas of Birmingham and are aimed at children aged 5 to 13 years. They normally take place during the half-term and summer school holidays. They aim to give local children the chance to take part in a variety of activities, including playing in team games and engaging in messy play.
