If your application is successful
If your application is successful at the interview stage, we will:
- issue you with a chaperone licence
- send you a chaperone ID card
We will also ask you to pay the £25 application processing fee.
If your application is unsuccessful
- you will received feedback on areas that require improvement
- rebook a second interview within 4 weeks of initial interview
Should the second interview unsuccessful you will not be able to re-apply for 3 months following your second interview.
How long your licence is valid for
Your chaperone licence is valid for up to 3 years.
Annual checks
We will check your Enhanced DBS status on the DBS Update Service each year with a team’s call with a member of the team.
We may revoke your licence based on:
- your DBS status
- concerns about the welfare and safeguarding of a child
- changes in your personal circumstances
