How to pay your charges
BRUM account
You can use your BRUM account to pay your temporary accommodation charges.
If you already have an account, sign into your BRUM account.
If you do not have an account, register for a BRUM account.
If you have a BRUM account you can also:
- view your accommodation charges statements
- access other council services such as Council Tax and benefits
Standing order
To pay by bank standing order, weekly or monthly, you will need to give your bank our payee details:
Birmingham City Council - Housing Income
Bank name: Barclays Bank
Sort code: 20-07-90
Account number: 33620360
You will also need your 12-digit payment reference number. This number starts with 1, 2, 30, 41, 51 or 61.
If you do not pay
If you do not pay for your accommodation, you may lose it.
If we have a full housing duty towards you, this may end if you lose your temporary accommodation because of arrears.
This means that we will no longer have a duty to find you permanent housing, and you will need to find your own.
If you cannot pay, you must tell us:
Phone the income recovery team on 0121 675 5535
Email TAIncomeRecovery@birmingham.gov.uk.
Request a refund
If you think you have paid too much for your accommodation, you can use our online form to request a refund.
