Pub and live music venue relief
A new pub and live music venue relief has been announced, effective from 1 April 2026.
Who is eligible for the relief and do you need to apply?
If you are eligible, we will apply the relief automatically to your 2026 / 2027 annual bill.
To be eligible for the pub and live music relief, your venue must:
- be open to the general public
- allow free entry, other than when occasional entertainment is provided
- allow drinking without requiring food to be consumed
- permit drinks to be purchased at a bar
What you will get
Eligible businesses will benefit from a 15% business rates relief on top of the support announced at Budget 2025 for the 2026 / 2027 financial year.
The bills will then be frozen in real terms for a further 2 years.
How to apply
If you occupy a property and believe you are eligible for the relief, complete our online application form.
